Thanks. I'll look it up on ebay.
I lucked out though, they were $7 a piece or so but when 1 shipment arrived they were broken pretty bad...the seller sent me all new ones and i'm still using the old ones. ultimately i bought 7 of 'em for under $50.
Is this the one you're talking about?
Do you have their direct website ? I don't have ebay account so i like to buy direct though. However, i don't like its color... so painting job is required..:)
That is a good example of a ceramin pin insulator, but the ones I purchased were from the US Army. Up north in Wisconsin a humongous ammo plant closed down and they sold off what was valuable.
Last time i bought these was 4 months ago, not sure if they are still selling them.
There should be dozens of these listings on ebay, search ceramic insulator also.
The ones I bought were over 6" tall too, there are many difft styles.
Spend some time looking and you'll see some of these are rare and collectible. One sold for $1800 on ebay when i bought one that looked similar for $5.
try and buy several from a good seller, save on shipping....these things get heavy.
i think the one you are looking at is 4" tall and that thick wire on it? Often incredible difficult to remove...thick wire that hasn't been bent in decades.
