We are in the process of buying a new home where I will want to put in a high gain directional FM antenna. In our current home I have constructed 2 rhombics for the 2 antenna farms where there are stations of interest. I will probably do the same at the next place. I will also want at least one mast with an FM antenna on a rotor. I want to get advice on what is available through this thread.

FM Fool can help you find new stations nearby.
What you need to be able to do is almost peg the SS meter on the weakest station you decide is worth listening to.
I have never heard an FM stage in overload from too strong a signal.
That big 11 element yagi does at least have a long life span.

We close on the property mid January. I have clear line of sight to the antenna farm of interest with 1 other FM station of interest that is probably just a few degrees off that. Based on Timbo's posts here I have built 2 rhombics into my rafter crawl space in our current home. When I have possession of the new place I'll probably have some specific questions on construction details. I suspect I'll construct at least one rhombic and put up a small tower with InnovAntenna and rotor as well.
The biggest issue is the limited number of commercial FM antennas on the market now, so I posted about the InnovAntenna high quality current production.
Listening, out!

I saw these mentioned in another thread.
And here is a picture. Looks nice.
A Rhombic is your best bet- there are limits - they are very directional
However for gain, they can't be beat.
The next best option is a VHF Yaggi which can be mounted on a mast with a rotor-

Have fun-

Timbo has spoken in this post. 2 outdoor rhombics would be no problem on the new property, so that might be what I do.
> A rhombic wire antenna made using 300 ohm twin ribbon in a loft or an outdoor rhombic can do a very good job.
