If built like my CT610II the seller added rocks into the case to make it heavy weighted as he claims. Mine is a decent tuner and I think for the seller's asking price not a bad deal by any means.

I didn't real notice that. I wonder if he means the flywheel cuz I never have seen a heavy SS tuner. Happy New Year!

...the seller was speaking about the flywheel, which is nicely weighted and works quite smoothly.
It's a decent tuner. I live in Connecticut about 60 miles from NYC and am able to pick up NYC stations clearly with it using a basic Terk indoor antenna. Sound quality is decent too.

reelsmith's axiom: Its going to be used equipment when I sell it, so it may as well be used equipment when I buy it.
The flywheel tuning was the first thing I noticed about the CT610II. The boys knew touch and visual was so important. I have had some tuners with very nice feeling tuning but nothing in the model range it is in the series lineup. By that price point, usually a smooth flywheel tuning system has been replaced with a friction nonflywheel system.

And that era of Yamaha was such nice looking stuff too. Excellent report! HiFi Engine lists it but no reviews, you should add one.
