Via family estate, I have come to own a Marantz Model 150. I also received other vintage Marantz gear. A 3800 pre, 510M amp and so forth.
What is the simplest way to check the functionality of the scope. When I simply plug the tuner into a wall outlet without putting the tuner to use, all lights and buttons work. I'm just not sure how to check to see if the scope works. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Congratulation on a cool classic tuner! First, make sure the tuner functions properly on FM reception and produces a stereo signal. If, heaven forbid, the FM section were kaput, you couldn't rely on it to produce a signal to the scope. Second, look online for the owner's manual. The operation should be similar on the Marantz 10, 20, 2110 and 2130 scope tuners. Hook it up to an antenna and tune a station with a strong signal. If you follow the owner's manual you should see a scope trace. If nothing else, you should see a dot at the center of the scope. You always want to use the minimum intensity (brightness) that works and use the scope as briefly as possible to avoid burning it out. Good luck!
The scope should light up when engaged (left most "Scope" button in) there are front adjustments and two on the rear; one for focus and one for intensity.
