lol - I still call my dogs 'puppies' even though the youngest one is 7 years old.
About my tuner comment - it was more of a bit of a joke because our musical/audio equipment preferences are so similar that I figured you must already have the tuner I want somewhere in your collection. :-D
I am still in the market for a tuner, but I need to find one that is much more 'low end' than the Marantz 20 - my budget, such as it is, would be happier with <$100. I am sure that you expect to sell your tuner for a lot more than that! There are a couple on eBay right now - one is up to $266 in the bidding process - and it needs some repair - while the other one has a BIN price of $700.

I have owned so many tuners in all price ranges. One I just bought and mentioned here from time to time is the Sony ST J75. It looks spartan but it is a real stunner. Not sure it is not better than the high end Marantz and McIntosh tuners that I owned and loved. It is really, really good.
Got it and a recommendation...
I had a Marantz ST6000 a few years ago. The "word" was that it was voiced like a 10b. Well, I owned them both at the same time and I'd say "they" were correct.
It sold for around 200 new, had a brushed black metal front face (not plastic), wide and narrow bands and inputs for two antennas with a switch on the front to select the best one (nice when you have different stations that need different antenna orientations).
I just looked on the Bay (looked here first but none) and there are two with buy it nows around 75. Maybe something that would work for you.
I put in a bid for a Marantz ST6000 last month; obviously, I did not win, but the ST6000 remains on my short list. I will keep a watch on these two, as well. Thank you for the heads up!
