Sold my excellent 10B on eBay. The german buyer are digging up false problems to get a discount. He says he had to align all IF's. To my knowledge they are permanently aligned by the factory and never need be touched. To do so the tuner is ruined, which I have read in articles written by Marantz-experts. Any comments are appreciated.

There was never a small for the 10/10b and I think only 1 person has ever figured out how to do the alignment correctly. They went through the factory alignment then cooked literally checked and sealed. The design was such that unlike other tube tuners changing the i.f. Tubes did not require an alignment. No hobbiest is going to align the tuner.
Have him send you the invoice for the alignment. If he says he did it himself have him prove up his knowledge and qualifications. If he aligned it himself he is out no money so what is there to compensate as he is not financially out.
