I agree that a beefy power supply is critical to achieving good sound with proper dynamic contrasts. I have bumped up the three main caps in the tuner from 2200uf to 3300uf. I had to drill new holes in the board trace to make these fit. Going any larger would take some serious shoe-horning. The sound is much better with the better caps with increased size.

Thanks, Timbo. Here is a photo of a Citation 18 tuner from the FM Tuner site. The boards are all sideways plug in. The power supply board is on the left.
If you unplug that board, looks like there is enough room to get a .1 or .22uf film cap on the trace side of the power supp PCB brd. That would be worth your effort if you can accomplish that.
...There is a 1" gap between the boards so plenty of room for small bypass caps. I'm wondering which cap would benefit the most from a bypass. Page 16: power supply pc board.
YOu could add a .1uf or a .22uf to each filter cap.
