I have a Yamaha T-7 that has a dead preset memory battery. It is size AA and is rechargeable, but that's about all the information I've been able to find for it. Can I use a low discharge NiMH battery in it's place?
Thanks for any information.
Bob

probably , the owners manual mentions the battery but does not give any more information except that there is one. www.fmtunerinfo.com
I've tried to research what kinds of rechargeable batteries were in use in the early 80s, and since NiMH batteries were in use then and since they last longer than Nicads, I'm going to give it a go to see what happens.
Thanks,
Bob
tuner presets probably use little juice. Later Yammi's used capacitor for that function.
The first time I saw this "thing" on the board, I assumed it was a cap. Looking at it more closely revealed it is actually a AA battery.
