I know this is going to sound like a stuck record from a Audio Innovations fanatic, but have you considered the AI 700 integrated?
You can only get them second hand of course, but they have the same circuit topology as the power amps and are much better sounding than the similarly priced 500 integrated with phono stage.
Basically, the 700 is a power amp with multiple inputs, a tape loop and balance control - open chassis, attractive to look at EL34/5881 ultralinear Class A with about 25W per channel and good frequency response and stability.
You can also make it a real giant killer by adding a Border Patrol power supply.
Sadly, I've not seen any AI gear on ebay or audiogon - I guess the few US people who've got it are hanging on to it, but you could get lucky.
