It is hard to know from your post what the original rectifier tube is. Maybe, your power supply is designed to be "universal" and can use many different types. cheers, Dak

...which Dan Wright has told me can use a wide variety of such rectifiers (5AR4/5Y3/5R4, and maybe others).
I am not a tech guy, as so many are here. Not a guru. Just a guy who loves farting around with tubes and is willing to listen to others with far more knowledge and experience than I possess.
I suspect others will chime in and answer your question more fully than I ever could. Otherwise, I'm sure Dan would be happy to say.
I am not familiar with the design of that PS but one could make it so that the choice of rectifier tubes were somewhat "universal" as long as the current, voltage and capacitance requirements were not exceeded.
