I've heard of at least one manufacturer and one British reviewer who won't get near any KT120 saying they don't come close to the linearity of a KT88. The KT150 however seems to be a much better solution if you're looking for a high power output tube.
Follow Ups:
When Mike Sanders upgraded his Silver 88 amps (KT88) to the new Mono 120, the only tubes he recommends are either KT88 or KT150. Note what he skipped over. ;^)

Said so in detail on the VAC website (I'm too lazy to see if the blurb is still there).
Looking at the curves, I can see why. Check the link.
It really doesn't come off as a forgiving tube. You'd have to bias somewhere down to -9V and operate with a 4VRMS signal to meet your linearity demands. Fwomp.
On that note, if I understand things right, wouldn't it make a power section work more like a bad half-wave compressor? It reminded me of the 6386 data sheet - it's a tube used in a lot of old compressors like the Fairchild (look at what happens in the data before/after -17V - you see why they used it). But, you'd only get that effect on the signal's rise in the case of using a KT120 for power. On the trough, you'd lose detail and a feeling of power, no? (Forgive the ramblings, still learning)
Anyway, thanks for pointing out the data sheet. Makes me reconsider this tube's overall use. After looking at the KT150 data, I'm not really any more impressed, but at least there's a functional range between -10V to -20V.
I guess it really depends on the amp's driver stage and what it's meant to feed.

May your tubes be lively, warm, and long-lasting. Holy be thy heater.
