That little AA151 is some amp.isn't it? Did you run a film cap off the rectifier? All those integrated amps using a GZ34 really benefit from a 30uf to 35uf film cap.

Speaking of GZ34's my VTA ST-70 came with a Ruby GZ. Should I look into a different rectifier tube. Honestly I have no complaint or beef with the Ruby. Seems just fine to me.
