I have a small stash of small signal tubes, 12ax7s and 12au7s, some 6sn7s and 6sl7s, some el-34s, 6l6s, 300Bs, el-84s, all obtained when prices were not so crazy. Previously posted examples of excellent 6v6s and their variants are pretty pricey these day. Yes, in general, current production tubes have improved over the past few years. However, they usually do not hold a candle to those produced in the golden age. My dilemma is that my budget is limited to $100-200 for 4 6v6 tubes and, with that budget, I can't really afford much in the way of experimentation. What is a poor boy to do?

I am unfamiliar with your amp, how many 6v6 does it take? I can check what i have and give you some option if you want. I have a lot of 6v6 so its not a problem. cheers
The Audio Note Kit-4 takes 4 6v6s. I just bought some Sylvania VT-107-As. They were tested as NOS and seem like they'll be a pretty good place to start. They were pretty inexpensive, given what vintage 6v6s are going for. Actually in the price range of current production tubes. I really appreciate your offer. I'd be happy to see what you might have available.
