JJ has been known to slip up. However, when things are right (hopefully most of the time) the JJ 6922/E88CC is a very nice tube. The Russian 6H23П-EB (6n23p-ev) is decent and very tough. Folks, there is a world of difference between 6H23П stock with the military EB suffix and tubes that lack it. The ordinary stuff is only slightly better than dung. Units, like AI, which beat the living guano out of tubes, need to use the 6H23П-EB. The 6922 New Sensor markets under the EH label is, in fact, 6H23П-EB.
Another New Sensor offering, the "reissue" Gold Lion has a reputation for being "warm". That's something usually not associated with the 6DJ8 family.
If hideously expensive NOS 6DJ8 family tubes cost more than your bank balance can tolerate, 3 good current production tubes are available.

I was looking at these just now, and I see Jim McShane has the EH at a very affordable price. None of my gear currently uses the 6922, but I know it's inevitable I'll build or buy something that needs them. I'm thinking this might be a good time to stock up on a few. Before you know it, the situation will change, and they'll be three times the price.

Buy Chinese. Bury freedom.
While, I'd prefer the JJ or GL, for "tone", the EH is not bad sounding and it is "tougher than old rubber boots". As for some circuitry, the uploaded cascode is a high gm front end for a Mullard circuit. ;> )

Especially regarding the JJ 6922.
