I don't know your technical background but you can also change coupling capacitors in the amp and preamp in certain places to the vintage paper in oil NOS and those make upgrades like tubes so many times.

Civil engineer. Basic electric notions. I can replace tubes and adjust bias. But don't dare more than that, I'm afraid.
Regarding the 6H30-DR, they have a steep price! Can they get much better then current production ones? Are the eBay sellers to be trusted?

Real pre nineties 6H30P are magical in their own right, a world of difference to later production and for mine, worth the money at any price on a comparative basis. Victor has recently posted the best way of identifying the real deal.
Another tube that can be subbed in lieu of 6H30P in many cases is 6H6P. Pentagon label Novosibirsk are plentiful, relatively cheap and sound great!
