Thanks for your reply.
My dealer also recommended a quartet of Phillips SQ Miniwatt, from the Holland. I believe they must spud similar to the amperex. Do you have experience with those?

Phillips was a part of Amperex. The gold pin Miniwatt SQ 6922 are great tubes. Will you like them in your system more than the Teslas? Only one way to find out. You'll never know unless you try. Always nice to have a stash to roll for variety. Depending on what job each pair of 6922 does (input, phase splitter, cathode follower, etc) you may prefer different types in different positions.
Enjoy the roll!
I don't know your technical background but you can also change coupling capacitors in the amp and preamp in certain places to the vintage paper in oil NOS and those make upgrades like tubes so many times.

Civil engineer. Basic electric notions. I can replace tubes and adjust bias. But don't dare more than that, I'm afraid.
Regarding the 6H30-DR, they have a steep price! Can they get much better then current production ones? Are the eBay sellers to be trusted?

Real pre nineties 6H30P are magical in their own right, a world of difference to later production and for mine, worth the money at any price on a comparative basis. Victor has recently posted the best way of identifying the real deal.
Another tube that can be subbed in lieu of 6H30P in many cases is 6H6P. Pentagon label Novosibirsk are plentiful, relatively cheap and sound great!
