It's extremely unlikely we'll ever see any objective data regarding the performance of the OPTs. That's a crucial area of any tube amp, but in this case - like most Chinese products - a total unknown. I would never buy an amp that has no reputation for the quality of its iron.

Read what Stereophile measurments has to say about Cayin output transformers

"The response into higher impedances is basically flat up to 15kHz..."
Remind me why this is good performance?
"the A-300B does meet its specified power of 8W (9dBW) at 2% THD as long as the load impedance is at least twice the magnitude of the transformer tap used."
No kidding, even the squarewave displays were derived by driving an eight ohm load from the four ohm taps. This is highly indicative of transformer deficiencies.
"...its excellent squarewave response and wide bandwidth are tributes to excellent output-transformer design."
LOL. That statement could only be made by omitting as much of the relevant data as possible. Notable in its absence is high power, low frequency distortion performance that is needed in order to know something about core quality. Everything here points to poor quality transformers.

Yes I have read it and compared with most single ended tube amplfiers this is an excellent performence, far better than many much more costly products. If you are familiar with tube amps you would recognize that.
It is not a high powered tubed push-pull amp that may provide lower distortion at high power, but partnered with the right speakers, and tubes it will give 0,2% distortion at normal listening levels, and very few people notice anything above 15kHz.

BECAUSE with then a -3dB point into 8 ohms of 38kHz MORE THAN GOOD ENOUGH
"the A-300B does meet its specified power of 8W (9dBW) at 2% THD as long as the load impedance is at least twice the magnitude of the transformer tap used."
BECAUSE PARTNERED WITH A SUITABLE SPEAKER A POWER LEVEL OF <1 WATT IS ALL YOU NEED AND THE GIVES <0,2-0,3%THD THAT IS NOT NOTICABLE AND LESS THAN THE SPEAKER DISTORTION. RUNNING 4 OHMS TAP OM 8OHM LOAD ALSO GIVES LOW OUTPUT IMPEDANCE wich is good

YOU ASSUMPTION IS SIMPLY INCORRECT.

INCORRECT:The Cayin's handling of squarewaves was excellent, with no ringing apparent with any combination of output tap and load impedance
THE LOW FREQUNENCY DISTORION IS FAR BETtER THAN MOST PUBLIHED DATA FOR TUBE AMPLIFIERS. TAKE A LOOK IN THE STEROPHILE ARCHIVES.
Happy listening, SS og Tubes
If it's anything like this piece.M30A uses the typical design of modern vacuum tubes. It looks unique and elegant. Dual and mono channels separated. The similar typical vacuum tube audio is sold with price among USD2,000 to USD3,000 in the market. This M30A is merging designed with preamp, and poweramp. The front two vacuum tubes are preamp, the latter two higher vacuum tubes are poweramp. This appearance follows a new fashion trend in the modern vacuum tube audio design.
All materials of M30A vacuum tube audio are processed by Hi-Fi class of standard. The materials are meticulously selected among hundreds of choices.
1. The casing of amplifier is full aluminum and is processed meticulously by oxidation. It looks smooth and very luxury. It is processed as other expensive audio which cost more than USD1,500 in the market.
To ensure the accuracy of the whole system, all spare parts are processed by CNC machining. Wiredrawing and sand blasting treatment is used in order to ensure the completeness and accuracy.
Such a big investment is different from the common vacuum tube audio. M30A should be an innovation for Hi-Fi vacuum tube audios.
2. The voltage is amplified by preamp 6N8P which is produced by Shuguang in China. It is amplified from backward. The poweramp works with vacuum tube EL34 which is produced in Russia.
3. The vacuum tube cover for protecting components is an individual part. The cover is processed with knurling press and sand blasting treatment. It looks fashion and elegant. There are a round cover and a square cover to protect the back transformer. M30A's appearance shows you unique personality.
4. The transformer of M30A is one of the very important components in the whole system. The sound's quality depends on the transformer's quality. All transformers are imported from Japan which are processed by silicon steel. The music style of this product is depends on this audio output transformer. M30A has good performance for lower frequency, intermediate frequency and high frequency with powerful and clear sounds. We worked a lot for designing the output transformer in order to meet most people's sense of hearing and have more fans for our M30A vacuum tube audio.
M30A vacuum tube audio is a very comprehensive vacuum tube sound system. It doesn't have sweet and strong sound like other tube amplifier, because it will be destroyed on dynamic. M30A system seeks to reproduce the real music, it fully explores the tube potential of ease, natural and clear. You can easily identify the tube sound. At the same time, it has sufficient by dynamic and plays music with passion and lively.
All **** Audio products are united in their claims to fulfill highest requirements concerning sound quality, technological innovation, manufacturing quality, functionality as well as design aspects. "All transformers are imported from Japan which are processed by silicon steel. "
I still remember a communications trade show I attended in Beijing in the late '90s. One of the vendors was selling microwave products, and there was a large pile of cardboard boxes in one corner of his booth. All the cartons contained various items of Chinese junk, and all were proudly printed with "MANUFACTURE IN USA."
Seriously, no claim from any Chinese seller is believable.
