I have always felt GE made tubes were under rated. You can sure get deals on different NOS types if you buy GE.

Perhaps under rated for specific concerns. I find the bass out put from the GE triple Mica Grey Plates to be prodigious even thunderous given the right situation. They are good tubes, however the GE tubes don't have the mid and treble of other manufacturers such as the loved Sylvania 3 mica Black plate.
I find the RCA to be dependable and robust, meaning a clean strong output. As for sound they have more detail but can sound hrad edged sometimes, that is with the older 3 mica black plate. They made a double mica which was promoted as a premium tube called the 'Command Series'. I had a few of them. I should have one or two lying around but just haven't seen them. I can't recall the plate color but I think grey, or any special pin treatment. They seemed innocuous to me, inoffensive but not inspiring either.
Spoiler alert boring tube story.
I thought I was doing a good deed but.......
I once sent a few RCA Commands to a guy on a fixed income as his CJ amp needed a couple and CJ's prices were not acceptable also he had the RCA Commands in the amp before and liked them. I was practically giving them away I asked for no money up front, not even shipping, because he needed the next check to afford them.. He said that one was noisy and another had some other issue. I never heard those things in my amps or testers. He did return them at least. I wish I knew where they are now!
