Spot the difference in this "matched pair" of 845T Mk II tubes that arrived yesterday.
It appears they've never been tested - at least not in a standard base.
Lucky I bought them for a UK-based supplier - I'm hopping mad about this, but I'd been hopping madder if they'd arrived from US, China or HK!

Answer - the one of the lest is useable - the one on the right not.

While there's no excuse for that, it only matters if you are using them in a bayonet base socket, where you insert and twist.
They should still plug into a plug-in socket.
The only plug in sockets that I have still have a little groove for the pin. Since the pins are the same size, and the spacings are all equal, the guide pin is absolutely essential for proper use.
And if you guys think Chinese quality is bad here, you should see the products that are culled out and sold in the Chinese home market. Even the Chinese don't want it.

Buy Chinese. Bury freedom.
The single pin sticking out of the coller are lined up with the (4) pins on the top of the left tube. The right one is off center.
