I really like these rectifiers. Slow-warmup 5Y3GT variants. The GE & CBS-Hytron ones last forever. The best built of these types is the Bendix 6106. IMHO.

Be careful. 5Y3WGTB = 6087. OTOH, the 5Y3WGTA is directly heated.
In any event, the "W" in the type code indicates ruggedized construction.

Eli, does this WGTA = fast start-up hold for all eras the tube was made? And by all companies.
I have some H&K labeled 5Y3WGTA that appear to be relabeled Bendix 6106. Like photo.
I'm with you in thinking that specimen is a 6106. Ask Jim McShane to make sure.
AFAIK, "real" 5Y3WGTAs are tough and directly heated.
If somebody gives me a 6106, when I ordered a 5Y3WGTA, I keep my mouth shut. Bendix Red Bank = OUTSTANDING .
