I've always enjoyed building amps. I built them for myself and then outgrew almost all of them when I found something better. So they got sold off to friends or advertised.
I started to create in my head the delusion that I was a HiFi manufacturer - nice idea for many of us, but probably an economic disaster for most including myself.... I ended up with boxes of useless tubes, only offset by the occasional smart investments like 10Ys, 46s, GZ37s, various Mullards etc...
So if you regularly make audio gear for others, then fine.
Otherwise a nice hobby can become a nightmare of useless boxes of junk.

Yes that was how it was with my woodworking furniture building hobby. Everyone suggested I make furniture professionally. But I already understand the cost/hour/materials would far out reach the price I would have to charge.
Nice idea but impractical. Also don't do what you love. Work IS work
Yes, it is work. Nobody who does this will claim it's not. It's work I enjoy. Work I've been doing for years, and will continue up until I retire and probably into retirement.
The rewards are very much worth the time I put into it. The hard part is done.
They no longer owe me anything. Their purchase cost has been paid off many many times over.

You're absolutely right. I should empty those useless boxes of junk and move their contents into a more secure storage. What was I thinking?....or was I?

I'll stop by to help you get rid of that crap.
