Mullard did not make any gold pin ECC82.
Is the getter saucer shaped or regular hoop.
Do plates look like typical philips/mullard ladder type?
Follow Ups:
All 3 have the grey Ladder plates. and small/Medium circle "hoop" getters no UFOs My bad- though the pins are possibly just dirty steel appears gold tinted, still can't be certain, but leaning towards dirty silver upon tape review.
I can tell from how I labeled the white boxes that 2 of them came in, that at one point, I really thought these were top flight tubes. The third has a "real" Mullard box, it also happens to have a larger getter ring.
Just that hard white paint makes me think they are not real. They sound good but not real Mullardly. I am finding that this little headphone amp is hard to roll tubes in and get satisfying resultant sound.
I have decided to buy a much more costly amp of similar size and function except that it has a great reputation for rolling tubes in.
The current amp sounds really good but is remarkably consistent no matter what I used and hard to manipulate in my hands is the Bravo 2. It is a good amp and not expensive I paid $60-70. An incredible bargain.
I am going to buy the "Project Ember" from a company called Garage 1217. With the options I have asked for it will be several multiples of the Bravo 2's price but has a truly devoted following that vouch for its quality and its response to tube rolling. Tube rolling is one of the amps important capacities. So having a hoard of tubes like many of us I assume, this amp gives you a way to try out thse tubes you have s doggedly pursued. the Company makes several headphone amps if this is not your specific interest.

I was wondering if you have your Ember yet? I have been using one for about a year now and it was great little amp. I am using dual 6j5g's and 6j5gt's and the soundstage is very nice. I started with the 9 pins, went to the 6sn7's, then to dual 7193's and now the 6j5's. I just got the cnc'd plates and it improves the looks IMO. Good luck with it.
Thanks for asking and I have only tried 9 pin dual triodes. Haven't found a truly go to, favorite tube yet, but I did like the Raytheon Windmill gettered 5751 best so far. Jeremy says he is moving away from the higher signal tubes because of their tendency to be noisy.
I would like to tell you more about the Ember but not in a public forum.
Yes the Al. top plate looks good, but I never have placed too much on appearances.

Yes looking back on Headfi ember tube rolling I see your post there. I liked the 5751 sold it with almost all my 9 pins 6 months ago. Only have a few 9 pins left,BB amperex, mullard, telefunken. Kept those when I moved on to 6SN7's.

The amp may be the issue. I have some Bel 12AU7/ECC82. They are not the most 'Mullardy' sounding. They are nice though.
Bel codes were often written with just two or 3 letters below the tube type code. V should be BEL Bangalore India.
Another example of BEL India.
I got a binch of those with a whilr back from an old ARC 6b pre I had. The only argument against the Bahrat Electronics tubes was that the ones I had, also had chalky markings and designations. Not nearly as hard and crisp as these.
