If you can get your hands on the 7025 they are possibly even better. I know I found them to be killer in my preamps.
Also, I would not worry about your tube sockets. Actually, inserting and removing the tubes from the mini tube sockets is helpful in cleaning the contact surfaces of the socket. If you feel that they are loose it is not a big deal to re tension them. cheers, Dak

How do you re-tension a tube socket? Thanks!
1. Make sure power supply has been depleted, and unit is unplugged
2. With tubes removed, take a small jewelers flat screwdriver and gently pry the 2 halves of the pin grippers together. Start from pin 1 and do the same for all 9 pins.
3. I usually, clean the gripping surfaces before retensioning. You can also spritz the gripping surfaces with contact cleaner, after cleaning.
