I understand. There are subjectivists and objectivists. I have no problem with being shown that I may be wrong, but until there is conclusive proof one way or other, count me in the subjectivist camp. I feel that cryo treatment is efficacious and worth a few extra bucks - at least as far as small signal tubes go. I have no experience with cyro'd power tubes.

Does it occur to anyone that the process screening/burnin/testing
might be responsible for the experienced effect of cryo treating ?
If any decent compares are made between a "treated group" and an
"untreated group" they must be in all other respect be treated equally.
My thoughts exactly.
Get a sample of 100 whatever-tubes, measure each tube's characteristics, divide your pile into two piles which are as identical as possible (matched pairs essentially). You'll now have a control pile and a cryo pile.
Once you've cryo'ed the test pile, perform before and after shots of their characteristics, compare them in a monoblock, and note the wear and tear. I would perform tests on a dummy load as well as an actual speaker load, and I would have a high-end enough microphone capture my test tracks. I would digitally compare them to see if they match and where they do not. My ears will tire - my computer will not. Any and all differences could/will likely be settled there and then.
Oh, if I only had the money to burn lol

May your tubes be lively, warm, and long-lasting. Holy be thy heater.
