Looking over this seller's tubes I'd say STAY AWAY. I've been buying and selling tubes for years, and this person has way too many NEVER SEEN BEFORE tubes with ODD FONTS and GOLD PINS where I've never seen gold pins before. In fact, this seller is probably the same seller we were discussing a few months back, very similar inventory, but with a different Ebay user name. I'm from So. Cal and I have a sneaking suspicion I KNOW who this person is... but that's another story. In any case, Caveat Emptor!
"I KNOW you can hear it, but are you REALLY listening?"
of course they fake. that is why i post them here in the hope to let AA members here know and stay away from these .
tele never made 12AX7 with gold pins , just remember that .
If the diamond embossed base is there then the tube would be a real Tele. The halo getter looks original but other makers also used that type. But, like the others say the rest of the description may be aftermarket add ons. One thing I am certain of in over 20 years of collecting tubes I have not seen a tele with that designation with gold pins. cheers, Dak
Labels are clearly fake - recently printed. Gold plating is also after market job.
These fake gold pin Telefunkens have appeared on Epay from time to time by different sellers. There were some threads on the asylum in the past on the topic.
The TFK ECC803S were frame grid tubes. Not long plates. I have not seen a German made tube with a "CV" designation. Think this is a British term.
I'd avoid this seller.
