National Union are very hard to find in pristine NOS condition but not impossible. They can be found as used in decent shape. The Color of the glass makes a difference as well, black is easier to find than the grey glass, which in this instance is not just a matter of cosmetics. The grey have a somewhat softer edge tending to have a sonic signature in the direction of the red based RCA tube.

It's supposedly a Jadis knock-off and I bought it because of a problem with my DIY pre-amp and the lack of a proper work space to currently do any repairs on things electronic.
Could you give a link to your pre-amp? Perhaps, I'll be looking for one...
