If warmth is what you're after, and listen to mostly female vocal, I'd put the RCA VT-231 at the top of my list. It excels in that part of the audio spectrum and has a warm, intimate sound. If top and bottom extension is desired, then look elsewhere, but the RCA is my hands-down favorite for small acoustic jazz ensembles.
Follow Ups:
I agree the RCA VT231 is an excellent choice as is the RCA GT grey glass which some call lush! There is a tendency to mix up the graphite shaded glass RCA GT with the more opaque grey glass, while good, I don't think they are equivalent.

Yep, I probably should've made that distinction between the black and the gray. The gray is the better of the two IMO. I still have one pair of them in my stash that I got from Neville Keatley, the guy that introduced us to the '52 Bad Boys, although it wasn't Neville that hung that name on them. I no longer have the amp that used 6SN7's and I probably should pass them on to somebody that can use them one these days. The funny part now, looking back, is that Neville charged me 50% more for the RCA's than he did for the '52 Syls that I bought from him. Pretty sure that price relationship is completely upside down today. The '52 are worth a lot more than the RCA's.
1950's Russian 6H8C/6SN7GT still available at Upscale Audio I think
