Hi all,
This might be an stupid question, but I need some peace of mind.
The power tubes on the right side of my amp is glowing much more than the left side (see attached pic, sorry for the bad quality but I only had my mobile at hand). At first I thought this was a bias issue, but after adjusting the bias there still is a significant brighter glow on the right side.
Should I be worried?
Follow Ups:
That's the filaments glowing, nothing to do with bias. Are the tubes on the right a different brand or manufacturing date?

Power tubes are Sovtek 4xKT88. I dont know prod.date, is there any way to read from it of the tubes? They look similar, and are not NOS
Sometimes the heater wire sticks out of the cathode sleeve, above or below, a little more, one tube vs. the others. Even when they are otherwise the same.
I don't see anything in your picture that looks out of place.

I use 6BQ5 SET and PP amps where the output tubes range from dim to bright. All's fine. It's the filament being exposed to various degrees.

You are correct sir. I checked all four tubes, and those on the right the filament is more exposed. Thanks all

And if you just really want to be sure it is the tubes not the circuit you could always just swap them.
