No real comparison available. Some so-called NOS were nice at first but became noisy. I have a tube tester and the sections were widely off from each other so I really do suspect that these were good looking pulls. The Psvanes were all quiet with excellent imaging, nice top end and solid bass. The sections were very well matched.
They also came with a warranty! Take that NOS. I would trust Grant Fidelity with this line. You can get cheaper but I have found that the Chinese market is all over the place. With Grant they get tested and culled. Others will sell you anything.
Psvane is doing some nice work and the quality as well as consistency has been getting better and better.
Follow Ups:
Saki,I purchased some from Grant and fleabay and have had zero issues. BTW, there is a sonic difference between the original and MKII tubes. Yes, some NOS are *better* but impossible to find. Personally, in my rig, I prefer the Psvanes 12AX7's over NOS Mullard or Tungsrams.
These are the first edition in the red box:

The MKII tubes are in white boxes. They are definitely NOT run of the mill Shuguang tubes.

Thanks a lot guys , sure do appreciate your take on the Psvanes .
I have some NOS that I like very much , along with backups .
I was interested in maybe finding something as good or better than my
7316's .
I am quite familiar with the Psvane stuff from Grant Fidelity as I use their Black Treasure 6CA7's and love them .
Happy Tunes
The 7316 may be the best in your amp.
"The 7316 may be the best in your amp."
The 7316s may be the best in any amp!
I have to agree with you the 7316 is IMO the best in any amp. When I discovered the 7316 it was a selected computer tube. Most of the tubes I could find with 7316 on them were cobranded with H/P IBM etc. As I collected more I found some pure breds.
Now I see people calling anything they want a 7316. I feel secure knowing that only Amperex made them and that the code on the glass tells you Heerlen and the general date.
Sometimes I want to make a big deal about the mis use of the tube type.
Steve
Blanket statements serve no purpose. The real 7316 is a nice tube but not in all applications.

Yes those responses are the most desirable but , unfortunately , also the most difficult to obtain .
Thank you to those who took the time to respond .
