I think it solves a problem that doesn't exist. For most musicians and relatively non-technical persons, it would be easier and cheaper just to buy a set of spares. The rest of us know how to use a Hickok. :)

Okay great.
I will hold off on splurging on the Orange tester.
But I do like the Maxi-Matcher small signal tester, way cool!
The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten
Is this Orange tester currently made or is it "vintage" like the Hickoks? Given the price of many old tubes now a $1,000 tester isn't altogether unreasonable. I could see it used by tube sellers or other professionals.
