Seems like these are sold under a gazillion different titles.
I just picked up a quad marked Philips made in Austria... RX3 codes.
They sound pretty darn good. Not quite as good as my Dark Blackplate Sylvania EL84's, but still very nice.
Are these the same as the Philips Miniwatts, and weren't some of these even sold as Mullards?

What are the two line date codes?
Example of Austrian made EL84 with date codes kM4 A7I1 Wiener Radio Werke Wirag - Vienna AUSTRIA
Here you go... photos of tubes and only codes I see...

It is Austrian for sure (A code) from 1959.
thanks..
in your estimation, what is a matched quad of tubes like this worth, and how does it generally rank among the ranks of audiophile 'approved' tubes?
Andrew
Very nice and desirable tubes. Similar to other Philips tubes from Holland. Price could vary between $20-$60/tube depending upon if these are new or used and other market factors.
Agree these are desirable but not sure they are Mullards because the Mullard is quite sooty after it has been used for a while. Mullards have a center longitudinal speaking hole in the plate. It may well be there I just didn't see it.
Steve
As you say - not Mullards. Like any other Philips plant, this being in Austria.
