Not that no tube amps can drive the B&W speakers, but they DO need amps with superior damping factors and plenty of power. I suspect you will do well with high quality SS power amplification and tubed preamplification.
What sort of signal sources are you planning on using?

Follow Ups:
I owned a pair of small B&W DM12 monitors for over 20 years.
At first I was running them with a 48wpc Sherwood S-8900A receiver.
They sounded....decent...., but nothing special.
It actually took a 105wpc B&K ST-140 SS amplifier to really make the little B&W speakers sing!?
Quite power hungry indeed!

Add the voice coil control issue in and you see why I suggested "sand" power amplification. Mated to a well selected power amp, B&W speakers can sound good.
FWIW, $2700 will buy a new 200 WPC tube/FET hybrid amp that will make quite a few not so efficient speakers, like B&W, "dance". I own an earlier iteration of an AVA hybrid amp and I am PLEASED.
My preference with "Watt Hog" speakers is to use substantial hybrid power amplification fed by high quality tubed preamplification. That keeps the SS in the signal path down to the absolute minimum.
