Hello all.. I just got a Fisher Branded Mullard off ebay... Blackburn codes, I63 type ECC83. Got it for a great price, $17 or so.All my other Mullards of the same type flash upon power up, like the Amperex's etc.
This one didn't. It LOOKS identical internally, and the codes look good to me.
Do some I63 Mullards flash, and others not?
Andrew

don't worry about flash/no flash or how bright the flash is. Tube you have in picture is Genuine Mullard Blackburn.
Yeah, it certainly looks so and sounds so! Just expected that telltale flash.
Good to know.
Thanks!
Andrew
I've noticed it's more the Holland-made Philips tubes that flash consistently on start up. Weird stuff.

May your tubes be warm, long-lasting, and always lively. Holy be thy heater.
