What do you not like about the JJ's?
As I have had little experience with the 6l6 and asked the dealer who suggested I start with power tube. I was just checking if it made sense but am in no hurry. I have found that el34 did make a difference. I my start with the signal 12ax7 as I only need a pair and look at siemans and bugle boy NOS. Sorry I don't have a more specific answer.

6L6's will sound different than EL34's and you may prefer them with certain genres of music.

I have not used these but the seller is legit and the price is right.
Tried these in a couple of amps. Big sound. Seem to be tough.
...Did you catch the dissipation note/disclaimer? It's rated at 30W just like a 6L6GC. IOW, it's being promoted as a 7581 and not a 7581A (35W rating). One might think that if New Sensor was going to expend the effort to design and release a "new" tube they would have at least designed it to the specs of the final release of the original. That this new 7581 has the basic specs of a 6L6GC causes me to wonder if the marketers have gained the upper hand at New Sensor.
Possibly a worthwhile change in sound can be had with some 5881/6l6wgbs manufactured in Russia in the 1980s.
Changing the JJs could improve or degrade the sound. The Russian made "Tung-Sol" are nice and cheap. Anything on the page below "might" sound nice. Just take a step back, your amp is your amp and the tubes in it were selected as best by the manufacturer. Swapping tubes continually is more often than not just an exercise in self delusion.
Yes Chip small signal tubes can make a bigger difference.
Pretty much disagree with everything else you have posted here and elsewhere recently.
I agree with Mendel. The 5751 has less gain and tend to be quieter (less microphony).

Just to clarify, the 5751 has a gain factor of 70, whereas the 12AX7 is 100. The 5751 is a direct drop in for the 12AX7. More to the point, is a Military Grade Tube. They produce a holographic soundstage and tend to be a little sweeter sounding.
I use them most of the time for Guitar Amps.
