I started my TV2 calibration/restoration project and wanted to know if anyone had any tips.
I already replaced the 6x4 and 83 tubes, and replaced the wiring with ferrite bead wiring...next up are the resistor values n the meters.
I'm using the Military maintenance and repair handbook as my guide - but I'll bet you guys have some better advise!
Thanks in advance!
Paul

I had to rebuild the power supply with new caps on my unit. It works much better now but the meter readings I suspect are off. I tried to measure the various voltages on the tube pins when I set up the tester to test a particular tube but my readings were no what I expected. good luck, Dak
My tip is to sell it and buy a tv-7 or a tv-10. I owned a tv-2 for awhile and it darned near wore me out with all the setups and knob twisting. It's fun at first, but it gets old pretty quick. Besides, a tv-10 reads in direct gm and you can twist the knobs full circle.
Being hickok doesn't use much power supply filtering like Heathkit does, just take a good DVM and make sure all the resistors are within tolerance.Just follow the manual step by step and you should be fine.Follow this manual if you don't have it.
