I always liked Bottlehead. I think they really try hard to make a fine product that can be available to us tinkerers. And it seems they really enjoy doing it.
What's your impression of their new 300bprebee??
THAT would be fun to hear!

It was a good experience for me with Bottlehead, in my case I did the Quickie.
Quickie is a lot different than the Foreplay, the directly heated 3S4 tubes are prone to microphonics. It's manageable. And it is possible to get some good sound from them. After spending time with the Quickie and evaluating needs, I sold the name brand preamp I'd been using before in that system.
Quickie isn't perfect, but I've enjoyed using it and learning a few things.
Hi Charles;
Haven't heard one. Doc does it right, the modern day Dynaco/Heathkit. What's great about Bottlehead and the other kit makers is that they're making audiophile affordable, especially with respect to tube audio.
