Has anyone here ever heard or used these triode tubes? If so how did they sound? I'm told it's "half" of 6080. I really like the Gold grid.

I've been interested in this tube as well. The way I see it, because of the very low mu of the tube, as LinuxGuru states, it's a poor choice to drive something like a 300B in a power stage (at least from a source), as the 300B takes about 150VPP to fully drive it. However for a low gain line stage, that drives a 300B amp with a driver stage, it could be a great choice. It would allow for a high impedance load for your source (depending on volume control choice), volume control, a mild gain (~6dB), very low output impedance, and at the right operating points, be very linear. Basically a buffered line stage, with a mild gain.

Hi, thetubeguy1954,
This is one of the most favorite tube among Russian audiophiles, along with 6S33S, 6S4S, 6P3S-E and 4P1L.
Use several pcs in parallel in order to get reasonable output power.
Hi Linx!
Actually I was thinking about using it in a preamp to drive a tube like a 350B, 6L6, EML30A etc.! So how do you think it would sound in this application?
I'm listening to: Moments of Clarity by Cryptic Vision

6S19P is not good tube for this application, it has low gain, and as driver for output tube will be very noisy. Try 6E5P or 6S45P instead.
That is a 6C19Pi. The Transcendent Sound T-16 is an OTL amplifier using 16 of these. Puts out a whopping 15-16 Watts per side.
It is a very nice sounding tube in that amp. In Bruce's design, it is very stable and not run hard at all so that has made it a very long lived tube.
Mine is going on 5 years now with no signs of degradation after many hours every day. I have a complete set of backup tubes just in case but all the originals are doing very well.
Thanks for all your input. I probably should have mentioned my intended usage was as a driver in a preamp?

Well, if one can use a 300B for a driver there is no reason not use a 6C19Pi as one, either!
My experience as well with my Transcendent T16
Here's the datasheet to the 6S19P
