You can use Detoxit, but if the tubes still get dull hey may be on there last leg. Only retesting them can you really know if they are still good.

So tubes that are wearing out could exhibit this same behavior?
Possibly, you are going to hear when a tube starts dying. If the sound gets worse something is wrong. Maybe you should rebieas the power tubed and see what happens.
Thanks.
Power tubes are holding bias perfectly.
So how does the system sound with those 12ax7 tubes in there? What other small signal tubes oes it use, are they good?
When I put the stock tung sol 12ax7's back in, it sounds the same as it always did. No change in the sound over time. Only when I put the Mullards in does it sound fantastic for a couple days then degrades. If I simply take the Mullards out and reseat them it sounds great again.
The other small signal tubes are great. No worries there.
I am no expert but if this is the case the Mullards may be going. If you could get them tested you will know for sure. Can you send back the Mullards and get your money back? I use 12ax7 in my pre amp, and gave a few good tested ones. I always have my tubes tested on a B@K 700 tube tester my friend has.
I'm going to try and get them tested tomorrow.
Keep me posted on how they test if you can. Thanks
