What makes you think tubes have warmth? I hear distortion.

Direct heated output tubes like the 45, 2a3 and the 300b are some of the most linear (distortion free) amplifying devices ever made.
Take a look at a 6sn7 running 14ma at 200vdc plate into a high impedance (horizontal load line).
There is almost no source for harmonic distortion.
Show me one transistor that's anywhere near as linear.
I'm not sure what you are hearing.
