2000 hours?
I would do that in a year, but I guess I can afford 200 bucks a year.
Amp would be Rogue Atlas.

The first set I had in my Cronus Magnum lasted about 2000 before the sound got a bit thin and I changed them. On my second set now.
I've had an octet going in my Rogue M-180s for a couple years with heavy daily usage. Before that, I was blowing about 2 KT-90s per year. Bias is 40 mA. The 120s are hardy tubes.
Is there any particular reason you're running them at 40ma? That seems pretty low. I never tried 40ma, but I did try 50, 55, 60 and 65, and 65ma was my clear favorite.
40mA is the Rogue recommendation.
.........Owners Manual that Rogue shipped with my Cronus Magnum! 35mA is the spec quoted on p.6 in the bias adjustment section.
Perhaps not all Rogue amps w/KT120's are the same? Or did Rogue change the spec without notifying the owners of its goods?
Cheers,
Al

Though they do show KT-88 tubes in the diagram. I've always used 40 mA.
Edit: and now I remember this being hashed out on Audiogon a couple years ago:

I have a Rogue Cronus Magnum integrated (same amp section as the Atlas) with KT120 output tubes that I've been running for over two years with the bias set at the 35ma spec that Rogue recommends in the owners manual.
No problems up to now, and I fully expect that these tubes will last for a long time to come. I check the bias about every six months and have never had to correct it more than about 2ma.
Cheers,
Al
