I have a Chinese made headphone amp that uses a 6N3 tube for pre-amplification and two 6N11 tubes for amplification. Are there any more common types of tubes that I can replace these with without harming the amp? Thanks

My fav is the triple mica ge, jg5670 if I remember correctly. Only one triple mica. Very nice upgrade from the other ge tubes IMO. The highest grade russian tube from reflector has the best bass, very upfront and exciting but not as refined as my fav ge. An awsome tube though. The ge triple mica has a lovely , I would say slightly chocolaty midrange which I like alot. The much loved WE is sweet, compressed, bass shy and lacks dynamics but feels good to listen to, just not anything like "accurate". Tweaker
The 6N3's U.S. equivalent types are: 2C51, 5670, and 396A.
The 6385 and 6386 are also similar, very fine tubes, but are expensive.
I really like the G.E. JAN 5670 W. Also, of course, the Western Electric 396A is a fine tube but spendier and IMO, not "better". There are many options available in this general type, as all of the U.S. manufacturers made them. There's still an abundance of NOS available also which is a big benefit, because that means more reasonable prices.
The 6N11 is a 6DJ8 type, and of course there are a ton of choices for that tube as well.
