Hi Everyone,
Does anyone know the diffence between these 2 Shuguang variants of the 5Z4? My monoblocks uses 2 rectifiers in each channel. Can I use 2 5z4pa in one channel and 1 5z4pa and 1 5z4p in the other?

the "PA" seems to be an uprated version of the "P" --- rough Kanji.

HI Fenderlover,
Is it ok to use the 5z4p with the other 3 5z4pa?
Or would it be advisable if I just sourced for another 5z4pa?
Thank you for your help.
I'd source another 5Z4PA.
Good luck!
Hi Fenderlover,
Thank you for your help. I am a tube noob here...will it harm my monoblocks if I were to use the 5Z4P in the interim til I source for a 5Z4PA?
One monoblock will have a 5Z4P and a 5Z4PA? I don't think this will harm the amp, but overall tonal response may suffer. Why not just get a new "PA" ?
Hi Fenderlover,
Thanks again for your advise. Really appreciate it. One monoblock will have two 5Z4PA and the other monoblock will have one 5Z4PA and once 5Z4P.
I bought a quad of Sovteks 5AR4 to replace the Shuguangs and I did not like the sound. Overall presentation "lifeless". That's the reason why I am going back to the Shuguangs. Reason why I changed to the Sovteks in the first place was that one of the Shuguangs 5Z4PA failed.
