I have some CUTF caps in my amps, Take note they sound very different at the start to what they will eventually sound like, if you like them now you'll be shocked at how much better they sound later.
I had the "worst" break in experience of my life with them, they took close to 400hrs, I kept a log! And they sounded quite horrific at times, never again will I go through that, sometimes it was like I had a junky sounding stereo for the longest periods. Mundorf silver in oils upwards (in their range) sound great from the start and take a fairly short time to break in, I have to consult my notes.
I have used CUTF caps again in my new amps, but I put them in as bypass caps to the lytics in my Ht stage for a couple of months first, so they wouldn't bugger the sound I know and enjoy up.
Be patient, they are going to sound really awful at times and you might even think twice about them but at around 400hrs they'll really open up, I've never tried the TFTF but the teflon di-electric is what causes the (ridiculously long) extended break in.
Don't make any decisions until 400hrs, it's quite a rollercoaster until then, Oh and keep notes and log your hours, I'm confident you'll like them very much in the end.
My rule with teflon is to use them as a bypass cap for a month or two before putting them in your critical position.

Heifetz is using the TFT caps not the CuTf. How do the CuTf compare to Mundorfs?

????
Like I said " I've never tried the TFTF but the teflon di-electric is what causes the (ridiculously long) extended break in. "
The Mundorfs are really first class, one of the best I've tried and not too far from the v-caps cutf.
I was asking about the CuTf vs. Mundorff. I have seen the Jimmie's Junkyard series and enjoyed it. Caps like Dueland have a place. I may be in the minority but I view caps as a component of the audio chain that have a not so subtle effect on sonics. ;-)
