To put the RCAs in. Give me a while to break them in and I'll report. Maybe then it'll be time for the Mazda-Belvue tubes.

More snap, better leading edge but, a little thinner sounding. The Sylvanias have a better soundstage and are a bit more musical with a better bottom. Back in they go. Thanks for listening.

Have come to the conclusion that the GE 6gh8a is best in my system. I't like a refined RCA 6u8a, warmer with better bass than the Sylvania. Dirt cheap and should be tried. Tweaker
Mt, This subject is of the utmost importance to me. I've rolled quite a few of this family of tubes and the rca all black plate, described as rich and dynamic by Steve Hoffman, considered the best by him, by myself and is used by the person who deals in the amp I own. The rca also has the best (deepest) soundstage of any tube I tried. You are telling me , sir that the Syl is better than the RCA?? If true that would be awesome. Please tell me which Syl you are using as there are more that one. Thanks, Tweaker
My friend has a S/C ASR433 that uses a pair of 6U8 in the phase inverters. He has tried every brand imaginable, and keeps going back to the original Stromberg Carlson labeled tubes. Don't know who made them, but thay have the best imaging even though they are starting to test weak.
