Yes. Though the manufacturer does not object against TS tubes, I suspect that Sylvania/Philips tubes and the stock big bottle Shuguang 5881 tubes are more robust than the TS, which might have been a reason for the blown fuse. Manually biased amps are much safer in this respect.
