I'm not sure how well the LSES supply would go with 950 volts on tap!Thinking it over and the nature of the question - I'd say neither of the above. Start with something easier to build and less dangerous to work with.

I've always wanted to play with 845's and 211's but I'd agree, 950v is a lot of spark. Lots change above 400 or 500v, like the needed wire insulation, choke ratings, obviously cap values, etc. Not sure why LSES is an issue; kind of both a philosophy and a tactical implementation, maybe I'm missing something there.
So build a low voltage one instead. My 813 SET amp started out using 845's. B+ is only 350vdc. Great sound.
