When i wanted to do really critical listening i used to wait until past midnight to listen to my lps and equipment changes. I am fortunate that i am first user on the electrical transformer on the pole outside my house. Maybe, these guys should move to the country where the electrical power is less "polluted".

A nice big isolation should make your line quiet all the time.
I have one of these but I never hooked it up.
My line, as is, is pretty quiet.
BTW I have the one shown, the CC2338 16amp model.

Where did you pick up that ? I have a 10A model but there is a noticeable hum that it makes when it is on so i don't use it. I also noticed that there is a slight decrease in dynamics when i used a different model that was silent vs. straight power from the wall. Very slight that you would not notice unless you were testing the effect at 1 AM in the dark so as to not get distracted. cheers.

I think i only paid 5 or 10 bucks for mine. But it is a boat anchor, now.
This is what I have on all of my computer and LED TV (plus cable box and Blu-ray player) lines. With a separate Tripp Lite 1500VA backup attached to the Topaz for the TV lines, computer lines, and son's PlayStation and Wi-U.
Keeps rest of lines pretty clean from digital noise. And the backup has saved a few components during power surges and blackouts. A hard lesson I learned from surges killing computer power supplies (and computers), years ago.
I have a 2KV Topaz on dedicated stereo and guitar amp outlets.
I know, I know... but too much is never enough!
