I can't find anything anywhere that says how to get the view to stay in classic mode. It's getting old to have to click on it for every forum I look at on my new computer.
Thanks

I have tried changing my account information to use "Classic" and it doesn't seem to work. Am I doing something wrong? I followed the directions from that link the other inmate sent.
Thanks!
Go to "profile" in the upper right corner then "manage/change account info" then choose classic as your preferred view.

Thanks Vinnie! It finally worked.
It's a small thing, but it does get annoying.

I wonder why that didn't come up when I did a search? Maybe the FAQ's aren't included?
Thanks
Well, this time when I came on board it was in the classic mode. It must switch if you change it enough times manually. Hope it stays now.
Delete your history/cookies in your browser. I will bet it has been a while. :-)
Actually it hasn't been. I just got a brand new computer and I doubt there are very many cookies on there as I just brought it on line. Maybe that was the problem, no cookie for it.
Whenever I use "disc cleanup" (which deletes cookies) my view reverts to the eThread view, which I dislike. After a few visits to the Asylum where I change it to Classic view, it starts to remember it.
Of course I could simply sign in to have it default to Classic, but I don't often bother.
My browser is set up to sign in automatically every time.Tre'

I always wanted to know that as well. I was once on the site and I accidentally hit a button and it stayed on classic view. I can't remember what I did.
Clicking on the link doesn't work? With old school directory at the top?
