Hello!
M friend has given me a suggestion about paralleling more 2SK1058 for higher power, the attached circuit capable 90W if operate at 50v @1.2A, what would happen if adding 2 more pairs?
It will lower the distortion, lower the impedance, right?
Does the driver stage able to drive 3 pairs of 2SK1058??
What is the maximum pairs of 2SK1058 the D3a able to drive??
Thanks!

From Hitachi app.note related to power lat-fets driving power requirements, which practically include yours 2SK1058 device ,
btw,you need not one 50VDC power source but two independent floating for that A-class Circlotron SS OPS .

Solid-state naïve here. But, could you replace the MOSFET pair with higher output devices? Adjusting the parameters.
2SK1058 is a lateral MOSFET , which are pricey to begin with . Finding a similar device with twice the power will mean a very expensive part which will no doubt just have a pair of dies wired in parallel internally . Also , the higher the dissipation , the more intrinsic capacitance . The design is probably best used as-is

How much power output can you predict from 3 pairs of 2SK1058 based on the same cirlotron circuit?
Also, whether the same D3a driver stage able to drive 3 pairs 2SK1058 for the same circlotron output stage?
3 pairs of MOSFETS will mean a lot more capacitance for the driver . I would also check to see just how those ITs like to be loaded . Why don't you email the designer and ask his opinion on adding extra MOSFETS ?
