I have a pair of custom wound (Electraprint) chokes. ~ 250h@60ma and big, DCR is 1100 ohms. Great sound from 50s and 842s, and the bass is for real. Even 10s get some bass. DC voltage drop for 1100 ohms is ~ 55v at 50ma bias.

who said tens can't make good bass ;) 1100 ohm thats a lot of ohms
200 henrys. That's a lot of turns; translation, a lot of wire. Can't do it with heavy ga. wire; too much volume. I had this conversation with ElectraPrint when ordering my chokes. Calculating IR drop will be important.
